Tables that have field level ACL, are given a field called 'assets' which is used to link to the Joomla Assets table.
The Assets table stores the permissions for each record ACL in jSON and can sometimes become corrupted, rendering the records unusable to anybody not a Super Admin.
In the Admin Joomla Categories, and Menu Components have a 'Rebuild' button which fixes erroneous entries.
We need a similar button in each Tables (with ACL) admin interface, as currently the only way to fix a Component Creator the assets table fro a custom component is by manually editing each record, and then saving it, one at a time.
The code could easily be lifted from the category or menu 'Rebuild' button code
