component runner

Hello I'm trying to create my first component: - ) I explain what I should do :

I have a team of runners and I need to be a part of the list of runners with technical and competitions in which he participated, the list of the other races .

I created two tables : one for the athletes to the races one, how do I relate them using the tool ?
