(added) What would you expect from Module Creator?

A seamless link to the component creator would be a good start. Are you planning anything with plugins?

Hola Andres:

If the component has a category field, offer to build a module that displays a list of items by category - and with the option for one or more categories, and the option to include nested categories.  This probably provides the "mundane" work of building a module.  Designing the view is our responsibility, of course.

It seems to me that the typical module types would be a single item, all items, or items by category.  Perhaps for modules that list items, the module can provide filters or sorting in terms of "latest," "by author," or "by hit count."  Perhaps you could provide a place for us to add custom SQL that will filter or sort on fields we add.

Also, if a link is provided on an item within a list, give us the option to have the detail page show in a popup as an alternative to reloading in the current page.

HI, I'd really love the Module Creator to be able to connect seamlessly with the Component Creator, allowing a form (for example) which is used in the Component Creator to be displayed on the same page as a module

Do you have any timescale in mind for this please?

Thanks Andres, that would be a great addition to the Component Creator
