Adding Article like custom tabs & filters

Hi,

How do I add tabs & filters on the top and right hand side of a component (admin) view, e.g. similar to the Articles component

I've attached a screenshot to give context to my question. I have checkout out the videos tutorials, which are great but maybe I miss understood the methodology on this?

I discovered you can make Tabs via the Premium "Form Builder", per View. Though, I did my own manually in the code but will remember this for my next extension.
