Understanding where router.php function fits in. was created by Geoffrey Brown
Hi,
I am trying to get my head around this MVC development. I have extensive experience developing components for Joomla! 1.x.x but have only recently had need to develop something for Joomla! 3.x.x.
I have used Component Creator to create a component and now I am trying to understand how it all works. My issue at the moment is working out where the ComponentnameBuildRoute(&$query) & ComponentnameParseRoute($segments) functions defined in router.php are actually called from.
I would greatly appreciate any assistance in the understanding. A pointer to some relevant read would be good.
Thanks

I have found what role this file plays.
