Trying to understand userIdItem code was created by Dave Torr
I am working my way through the generated code as I will need to make a number of changes (your system has been a great saving of time so far!) and I am a little baffled
In the list model for a table in the admin part there is a function called userIdItem.
This seems to be called (from getStoreId() with parameters such as "::","getstart::","getPagination::" and "getTotal::". It then uses those parameters to create SQL containing phrases such as
WHERE id = getTotal::
which is syntactically incorrect. It does not actually cause a problem as it is caught by an exception, but seems a rather pointless exercise.
Would be grateful for any explanation!

It seems like you're working with generated code for an admin panel that handles data in a table. You've come across a function called userIdItem that appears to be used to construct SQL queries based on various parameters, and you've noticed that it generates syntactically incorrect SQL statements. While it doesn't cause a problem due to error handling, you find it puzzling and potentially unnecessary.

The use of parameters like "::", "getstart::", "getPagination::", and "getTotal::" might be part of a debugging or tracing mechanism within the generated code. Such placeholders can help developers identify specific points in the code where data is being retrieved or manipulated.
